Autograph letter signed, dated : [n.p., Moscow?], 20 August 1907, to A.I. Ziloti in St. Petersburg, 1907 Aug. 20.

Saying that when Siloti visited them in Dresden he brought an invitation from Frankfurt and told Rachmaninoff that he would receive 600 Marks, that now he is offered only 500 Marks, which he refuses, since he will not accept a discount rate, asking Siloti not to intercede on Rachmaninoff's behalf, as he has done in Leipzig and Antwerp: Rachmaninoff deeply appreciates all that Siloti has done, but the few invitations he has received came to him without patronage and because of that they were so enjoyable, and he wants to continue that way in the future.
